Director of Golf Maintenance


The Equipment Manager is is responsible for all facets of equipment operation, repair, maintenance of golf course equipment and maintenance facility.


Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Implement a preventative maintenace program with accurate record keeping.
*Manages mechanic staff
*Trains and instructs staff on the maintenance and diagnosis of all equipment in the fleet.
*Schedules and organizes daily repair and maintenance schedules.
*Submits orders and stocking for all repair and maintenance parts,fuels and lubricants.
*Keeps a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipment.
*Responsible for the organization and care of the equipment facilities.
*Completes regular course checks to insure cut quality and proper operation of equipment.
*Ability to prepare and effectively manage a budget.
*Assists in the purchasing and selection of new turf equipment.
*Ability to maintain a safe,organized and clean working environment.
*Performs duties with due regard for personal safety, exercising proper care and protection of company property. Complies with all relevant safety program requirements.


*Three years golf course repair manager experience.
*Working knowledge of all turf and landscape equipment functions, systems and safety. (Cutting unit set-up, hydraulic theory and diagnosis, electrical theory and diagnosis, combustion engines, welding, etc.)
*Ability to utilize various trade tools and the safety guidelines of their use.
*Possess a valid driver’s license.
*Basic understanding of the game of golf and the effects this position has on the overall condition and playability of the game.
*Must have the ability to take responsibility and make independent decisions.
*Must be able to maintain good working relationship with other employees and to work with or without direct supervision.
*The ability to communicate on a professional level with staff, vendors, members, and guests daily.

*Must be able to operate golf course equipment and drive the entire golf course and related areas in a utility vehicle.
*Ability to move heavy objects.
*There is some lifting. Should be able to carry weight up to 75 lbs.
