Douglas Mccullen Bio

Douglas McCullen is an Area Sales Manager for Bayer Environmental Science covering the PNW (AK, Northern CA, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, and WY) for the Bayer T&O market. Doug came to Bayer with 19 plus years’ experience as a Distributor Sales Representative and a Golf Course Superintendent in OR and WA. Before deciding to join Bayer, Doug was the Branch Manager for CPS’s professional products branches in OR and WA. Prior to working for CPS he was a Superintendent at several golf courses in OR. Doug has a B.S. in Turf Management from Oregon State University, and lives outside Portland OR with his wife, Cathy, and two daughters, Abby and Ally.

 

Fungicide Management: A Programmatic Approach

Discuss common turf diseases in Hawaii (Fairy Ring, Take-All Root Rot, Mini Ring plus Nematodes) and cover identification tips, cultural controls, and chemical control options. I will introduce fungicide active ingredients and trade names, PPE requirements, application sites, and general label recommendations. I will also show various university trial work and cooperative trial work, and show how control options fit in a program approach.
