The Assistant Superintendent at Kohanaiki reports directly to the Director of Golf Course Maintenance & Grounds and the Golf Course Superintendent. The Assistant directs and contributes to the maintenance of the golf course, community landscape & grounds, and provides support to team members tasked with maintaining the golf course and grounds. Over the next few years, the Assistant Superintendent will be involved in several capital improvement projects, including bunker renovations, turf restorations, and numerous other projects throughout the course and community. Additionally, the assistant superintendent may be required to perform a variety of tasks within the community and club facility areas to contribute to the overall success of the club.

Areas of Responsibility
*Assist in the planning and scheduling of agronomic practices.
*Supervise and train employees on the proper use of all golf course equipment.
*Support in personnel management, motivation, and evaluation.
*Pesticide and fertilizer application, calibration, and record keeping.
*Operation of all golf course equipment when necessary.
*Contribute to the maintenance, function, and performance of the irrigation system.
*Promote sound cultural practices to develop healthy and sustainable turfgrass.
*Assist with the Landscape Maintenance programs.
